What Happened to the Chevy's Fundraisers?

I made a last ditch effort to collect the estimated monies that Chevy's should have given back to us on the Fundraisers, and even though the executive that contacted me (in regards to a letter I sent to their President) admitted that 2 of their people "dropped the ball," their individual locations did not keep records of the receipts turned in, they cannot make a goodwill donation to MAGDRL. I guesstimated dollars raised should have been between 3 and 4 thousand dollars.

Their executive wanted to reinstate the program with us, but I informed her that without a goodwill donation of 1500 to 2000 dollars minimum, I could not in good conscience come to Yahoo and inform everyone that we would continue with Chevys. I also informed her I would no longer patronize my local Chevy's due to this situation, and that I would inform our members of their decision. She originally told me in our first conversation that would do whatever they could to resolve this, but in my follow-up conversation with her she told me she couldn't do anything.

Thanks to Lori Mooridian, who kept all emails of correspondance with Chevy's and had also attempted to work it out with them. I understand her frustration in dealing with these people. The executive informed me they are in Chapter 11, and now we know why!

For those of you that were meeting once a month, it may be easier to find a local chain and deal directly with the manager to set something up. If you do this, please make sure the manager signs some type of receipt.
