Kelsey is an 11 1/2 yr old, Blue female dane that came into rescue due to her family falling on hard times and not able to care for her any longer. For her age, she sure doesn't always show it! She has the usual old dog skin tags, lumps, aging eyes (although can see great!) and some weakness in her hind end. But, she is full of love, kisses and even gets spunky trying to play with the foster home's 2.5yr old dane. She is currently living with 3 other danes and an older JRT which she does fine with. She is close to the perfect dog. No food aggression issues, gets along with dogs of all sizes, cats and loves everybody. She definitely hears when her meals are being prepared! She is up to date on all vaccines, HW and even had a full blood screening which came back normal. She is currently on Tramadol, which is an inexpensive medication to help aleve pain, as well as joint suppliments and a quality food. She deserves to live out the rest of her life on a comfy couch. Could that be yours?
Kelsey has been in her foster family since October 2011. She has settled right in, has become quite the couch potatoe but don't let that fool you as she still has her moments of play. She's on Rimadyl 1-2 times a day and seems to do well on it. She still has some weakness in her hind end but it's usually more pronounced after trying to run and play with the 2.5yr old Dane. She LOVES the company of other dogs, is fine with cats but would be best suited in a home with older, respective children (and dogs) and someone that is home most of the day since she has a regimen. She will still have the occassional accident in the house but has gotten better with a routine. She has quite the personality especially when she wants something and will let you know by barking at you. She is truly a joy!

Note: We have evaluated these dogs to our best abilities. MAGDRL and its volunteers can not be held responsibile for any inaccuracies or omissions in dog evaluations. A dog may react differently in each situation.
